Did You Think to Pray? (simple viola)

Arranged by Marshall McDonald, this piece from the book, Simply Sacred Strings: Solos for the Aspiring Violist is designed for the late beginner/early intermediate instrumentalist. However, even advanced players will find it well-suited for prelude music and a variety of sacred settings. Keeping piano teachers in mind, this piece includes suggested fingering and helps reinforce various pedagogical techniques throughout. It is perfect for anyone of any age who is looking for beautiful hymn and primary children's song arrangements that sound more difficult than they are to play.

This solo arrangement is also available in the following sheet music book:

Consider the BONUS optional string duet parts that coordinate perfectly with the solo part.

This individual song is only available as a PDF digital download (a link to download will be emailed to you after checkout).

The piano accompaniment part includes a minimized cue line, showing the pianist what the soloist is playing. Please note that this cue line is the violin part (regardless of which instrumental solo you purchase). Although there are subtle differences in other solo parts and the clefs they play in, the violin cue line is an adequate representation of what any solo instrument plays.

Difficulty level: later beginner/early intermediate.
